The Child Within - 4. 5 steps to happy you.

How did the exercise make you feel? Did you notice how your energy changed after eating what you loved as a kid or what your heart wanted? I certainly did. While that could be one effective way to work with your inner child everyday - asking what it wants to do today - and honouring that, there are other important things to do before you get there.

Here is the simple yet effective way to work with your inner child:

1. Acknowledge.
Do not run away from it. Do not suppress it anymore. Acknowledge your inner child. This can be done by simply closing your eyes and asking your inner child to show up. Oftentimes people see themselves in a younger age from 4 to 7 years. For some, they have more than one inner child and which is perfectly okay. Just acknowledge.

2. Ask.
ASK your inner child how does it feel. It is important to know what it feels. As with any chikd, your inner child wants to be heard too. It may have complaints or suggestions. Listen. Listen to it patiently.

3. Reassure.
Post listening, reassure your inner child. Let them know that you are there for them. All a child needs is the comfort of saftey from its guardians or parents. Tell him/her that you will be the father/mother he/she never had.
Reassure to win the trust of your inner child. This makes them happy.

4. Pamper.
Reassurance is the first step. Your main goal should always, always be, pampering your inner child. This is what makes them genuinely, truly happy. So give them all that they demand for. Be it sweets or toys or your time and affection. Whatever they ask for. Creating stuff out of thin air, in the realm of every and visualization isn't a difficult task. So fulfil their demands and pamper them.

5. Be regular.
Talk to your inner child at least once a day. Ask them how they feel. Ask them how they felt about a certain thing during the day. You may be surprised to come across deeper insights as you do this regularly. Keep in touch. Children do not like being neglected. They demand attention. So be there.

When you follow these steps, you are sure to build a strong and sturdy relationship with your inner child. And believe it or not, it is one of the best relationships to get into. Once you have a strong understanding of your child within, it will become easier for you to become aware of your emotions and let them go with ease. Happiness will become a conscious choice and you will feel the void inside of you fill up with self love. Which in turn will give rise to many benefits at all levels and in all areas of your life.

This children's day, treat your inner child well and take care of it first and foremost. And see how beautifully things change. The key is to be crazy and compassionate at the same time. Only if you know what I mean. I am sure the child within you knows what I mean. Trust.

The Child Within - 3. Play is the key

We often underestimate the power of fun and frolic. Rather, I would say, we are not even ten percent aware of what it can do to better our energies and our lives.

Inner child, the innocent being that lives inside of you, in the form of a child, holds the key to your happiness. We hear this a lot: 'Happiness comes from within. That it is an inside job. That we have to create it from inside of us. Because if not from within, the happiness isn't real really.' I want to ask, have you really thought why? How?

Have you noticed, until and unless you feel good from within, nothing outside seems to be happy or cheerful. There are days when suddenly you may feel gloomy and upset as if all the warmth has disappeared from the world. And in such a state, no matter what anyone does or says to make you feel good, you still won't budge. Until when someone really shows that special candy which directly hits or resonates with your inner child. Clearly, this shows, till the time you decide to be happy nothing outside can make you happy.

And there are times when you may be chirpy and cheerful like never before. Maybe because you did what you enjoyed or because you had a very fulfilling and satisfying experience. Those times, it really doesn't take much for anyone to make you happy. Because you already have made that choice and are experiencing it.

Bottom line. Till the time the child within isn't feeling good, isn't happy, the energy seems to be drained, and haywire. And the times when the child within is all perked up, the world feels a better place. Working with your inner child and making sure that you take care of it and keep it happy and content can go a long way for you to sustain your positive energy as well as optimum health, creativity and productivity.

I want to ask you a question. Tell Me, what was that one thing, you enjoyed eating the most as a kid? What did you love?
Like for me, (an example of the one thing I loved the most) I always loved balloons. The red ones. Heart shaped. And the blue ones. And all the colours. Oh. How I love balloons! I remember collecting them and keeping them in front of me for days and days together.
Think about what did you love eating the most?

Now, either close your eyes and picture your self eating it right now. In the current moment. Or better yet, make it a point to eat it in reality anytime today. And notice how does that make you feel. How it changes your energy? What emotion fills your mind? Trust me. You will be surprised by what this one simple thing can do to you. Just try it. You can even ask yourself: what do I FEEL like eating today? And go ahead and have what ever that is, that your heart is yearning for. Without really bothering about the calories. And notice how it changes your day.

The Child Within - 2. Let the child breathe.

If you, like many, have been shamed in your past (when you were a child), I have something to share. There is a reason I write 'like many' when I talk about shame.

The problem with people is not that they have gone through all that they have. The problem with people is that they are fearful of voicing it out. Of accepting that something terrible has happened to them. We live in a strange society. Where everyone wants to know about the good things and wants to run away form the juicy, meaty stuff of the problems and the past. Not because they aren't interested, but Because, somewhere deep down, it reminds them of similar things which happened to them as well.

It is really interesting to notice, how, when one person starts to share about their issues, others open up too. This is a sign that we have collectively bottled up so many emotions for so long. Shame, being one of them. And a pretty influencing one. It takes a great deal of courage to be able to speak up openly. Because that shows that a person is in touch with their truth. Their emotions. If nothing else.

And this is the key. For any individual. To deal with shame and guilt. To become aware and open up. Face those emotions and let the child inside of you cry. Cry out loud. Without any fear of judgement about what are people going to think of me, and blah blah blah..

Because this is how a child is. Naive. Open. Curious. Fearless. And most of all FREE. Free of all the judgements and criticism. To allow your inner child to resurface and become happy, is to allow your self to be free. Free agian. From the chains of the rules and regulations of the society. Free from the clutches of judgments and guilt.

By this I don't mean that outrightly become a rebel everywhere. Of course, it is your choice if you would like to! However, what I mean is this. Allow yourself to feel. Allow yourself to have fun. Allow yourself to be that kid again. Allow yourself some pampering. Allow yourself a good meal without worrying about the calories and allow yourself a nice treat without really thinking of the responsibilities once in a while. Because it is these 'once in a whiles' which will help you in maintaining your emotional and mental balance to a great extent.

The Child Within - 1. It's presence

Every now and then I stumble upon people who have suppressed their inner child to such an extent that they hate seeing others who swear by their childlike innocence.

Each one of us, believe it or not, has a child within. Wanting to burst forth with joy and excitement. Wanting to be as carefree and reckless as we could possibly imagine. Some may agree. Some may not.

I, for one, love catering to my inner child. If I were to ask you - What did you enjoy doing the most when you were a kid? What would your response be? Take a moment and think about it. Recollect it. How does the memory make you feel?

Do you feel happy from within? Just by the thought of it? Or you feel sad, that you cannot do the same now, given the time and your age. In either cases, your childhood is very much alive inside of you. In the form of memories and incidents. Situations and people.

Why do you think, you smile when you see infants, toddlers and kids? What inside of you pushes you to act and behave like a child with them? Where does this come from? And why, at that time, is it okay to behave that way even if you are in front of ten adults? Simple. Because people will judge less when you behave like a kid, when you are with one. In majority of the cases, instead of being judged, you are adored for the same.

It's all because of the child which is very much alive inside of you. And it is screaming to come out in the open! Those times when you just want to do nothing, or just want to cuddle your pillow and sleep, or even just watch an anime, or feel like eating an entire pizza all by yourself, are all subtle hints of your inner child. It makes you do things you would really, really enjoy. Because the only thing the child knows is joy.

However the question is, how often do you ALLOW it the liberty to do so? I have seen people stuff their own desires and pleasures because of so many reasons. Fear of judgement, illusion of responsibility, fear of rejection and the need for perfection - to behave exactly in the way as pleases the masses, are some of the major reasons why people ignore their inner child.

In the list of all these, one reason, however, dominates. SHAME. Having been shamed for various reasons in the childhood, we tend to ignore our own needs and wants. We suppress our own selves. And that in turn leads to a lot of mental and emotional conflict. Because the heart (the place from where the inner child operates) and the mind (the place which reminds of all the wrong incidents of the past, the responsible adult) always want to go in seperate directions.

So what can be done about the same? How can harmony be achieved? Stay tuned.

Law of Attraction Series 6: Change your Beliefs to Manifest a life of your Choice.

You don't manifest your thoughts. You manifest your beliefs.

Wouldn't it be wise to say so after understanding all that we have till now.
Beliefs are the key factor in the manifestation process. The emotions that stem from these beliefs give ways to the thoughts that we experience in our mind. It all boils down to beliefs.

Knowing that changing beliefs will also invite resistance, from the conscious as well as the subconscious mind, here are a few things you can do to release resistance and change your limiting beliefs:

1. ACT ON IT.
First and foremost, the easiest way to kill resistance is to take action. When you talk about changing beliefs, take action steps which will help you in redefining your limiting beliefs. You could use from a wide variety of techniques available to you for doing the same.
Subconscious reprogramming is one! Violet Flame healing, Reiki, affirmations, afformations, access consciousness, pranic healing, working on your chakras, past life therapy, hypnotherapy, numbers or prayers. You choose which type of healing or work resonates with you and make an effort to use it to change your beliefs consciously.

2. REPLACE LIMITING BELIEFS.
Instead of just focus on letting go or releasing the old limiting beliefs, replace them. Replace them with something more fulfilling. Doing so will make sure that there is no void inside of you and that the energy of the limiting belief is transmuted into, or replaced by something positive. Remember, BELIEFS are energy too. And energy can not be destroyed or created. It can only be changed in form. When you understand this, your subconscious will automatically strive to replace the limitations with fulfilment. However initially, the effort needs to be put. So that the mind becomes accustomed to the change that is coming.
For example, if I have a limiting belief that money is hard to earn, then instead of releasing it, I will replace that energy by reinforcing the belief that money comes to me easily and effortlessly.

3. BE PERSISTENT.
Understand that you may have collected, developed and formed the beliefs you have, over a course of many many lifetimes. So expecting them to change in a day or two will be asking for too much from self. Your mind, conscious as well as subconscious requires time, effort and nurturing, constantly. Keep at it till the time you see the changes in your external reality. That is when you can be sure of the beliefs being changed. Till then, just keep at it.
It may very well become disappointing to see nothing happening even after a good amount of time. However, just know this. That which you have collected over years and years in lifetimes after lifetimes will definitely take some time.

This, is really helpful for the manifestation process in the long run. Besides, it also gives us an opportunity to become aware of all that needs to be cleared from the past, thus helping us in our personal growth and evolvement. Which automatically raises our vibration frequency. And that, my friend, is another plus when you want to attract things into your life. Being in the highest vibration frequency of all.

Law of Attraction Series: 5. Resistance to Manifestation.

What do you think you can do about the beliefs which stop you from manifesting? Considering that all these are formed over a course of time, and many life times as such, it is really important to understand that changing limiting beliefs might take time. For some, it may happen over a few days, while for some it may take months. Or at times, even years.

The most important thing here to understand is this: Whenever you attempt any change, the subconscious mind will create resistance. Because it does not want to come out of the comfort zone it has created. Which in reality is not really a comfort zone but a safety zone. It has very well protected you from all forms of terrible experiences directly for so long. And it will make sure to do so till the time it can. While subtly attracting people and situations in your external reality so that you learn what needs to be learned. Such a duality the subconscious is!!

Thus, oftentimes we see that while manifesting or even when we are wanting to make any change, like take a class or go to a different place or change jobs, so much resistance sets in. Suddenly things on the outside become non supportive of what you want to do. You might manifest your self an illness exactly at the day of the class or might create situations such that it becomes almost impossible to leave that job. If such things happen, immediately identify them as the resistance being created by your subconscious. By you.

The one who is readily able to over come this resistance, is the one who can really go ahead and change the beliefs. Or else, like majority, if you fall prey to the resistance, then it might take more time than ever. But why are we discussing resistance here? Because when we want to manifest something, that definitely is one change we are asking for in our life. And every change is preceded by resistance.

One simple thing that you can do to kill resistance is this - immediately take action. When you know you want to do something, change something, immediately act upon it. The more time you give yourself for thinking, the more you allow resistance to set in. It would not be foolish to say that even when you decide to change your beliefs or work on them, resistance will show up first.

This could probably be the most important change you make in your life and so the resistance will be huge. So get ready to take action if you are willing to alter the beliefs so that you truly attract all that you want.
